The Eaton Vickers EEA-PAM-533-A-30, a 30 design proportional valve amplifier, is designed and manufactured to be a power efficient solution for use in the hydraulics industry. Vickers is a well known name when it comes to hydraulics and has since become part of the Eaton family. Vickers is a major supplier of power and motion control systems. The EEA-PAM-533-A-30 amplifier is designed for use with KFG4V-3/5 proportional valves.
This 30 design amplifier has a 24V DC power requirement and a 15V supply output. The front face of the amplifier allows for adjustment and monitoring of the cards features and settings. LED’s on the front panel bring attention to the status of the amplifier. An LED showing the status of 24V power and overload detection are some examples of these indicators. The gain can be increased or decreased through pots on the front panel as well. An overload protection feature, which automatically resets, prevents harm from such an event. The amplifier accepts voltages between 20V and 40V. If the input voltage falls short of 18V the amplifier will turn off.
Installation of the EEA-PAM-533-A-30 is straightforward, even for someone with little understanding of proportional valves.
